We had a wonderful Christmas holiday in a fantastic cottage. We have stayed in a lot of self catering accommodation and this is one of the best. The attention to detail Anitia provides is exceptional, the cottage was fully decorated for Christmas which was a wonderful surprise. The location is excellent for all Lincoln has to offer. Highly recommended.

Especially memorable visit to a wonderful cottage. Delighted with location, lay-out, standard of accommodation & equipment, pleasant garden & patio area. We have visited cottages from Lake District to Mousehole in Cornwall and Snowdonia to East Anglia this one is up there with the best.

Excellent accommodation that has been tastefully furnished and decorated. Quiet location and well situated for the Bailgate area of LIncoln with shops and restaurants. Highly recommended and we will certainly visit again

Stayed at Danes Cottage from 3rd-5th October for a combined birthday treat and a friend's daughter's christening. Lovely, cosy cottage provided us with a great central location to explore some of Lincoln and easily travel to the christening. Great value for money, and the little extras like the tea, coffee etc were a much appreciated. Will definitely be back in the new year. Thanks Anitia!

Stayed 6 nights for our Daughters graduation week and found the cottage v comfortable and in an ideal position for both the cathedral and downtown areas with some good bars and restaurants nearby. For long term parking Broadgate is not too far and is £4.50 weekdays or £2 weekends for 24hrs - only problem is that it expires at 8am but the walk clears the cobwebs and the Spar is there for brekkie items and a paper.

Webb family - 23rd May 2008 We really enjoyed our six night stay in Lincoln and much of that was due to Danes Cottage. It was a lovely place to stay; both its location in the heart of the Cathedral Quarter and because it was so clean and comfortable with so much attention to detail.

We stayed for the weekend while I was doing an event at the Lincoln Book Festival and we had a wonderful time. The cottage is one of the best-equipped we've stayed in, cosy and comfortable - the owners have thought of absolutely everything. The location is perfect, right in the middle of the historic quarter (though just far enough away that you don't get woken by the cathedral bells!) and is basically a 5 to 10-minute walk from everywhere (including the modern shopping area and the cinema). Highly recommended. We'll definitely be staying here again, next time we visit Lincoln.

We have had three lovely days at Danes Cottage. The cottage is superb. It is so clean,bright and airy. It is wonderfully maintained by its lovely owners who were a pleasure to meet. The cottage is so near to everything you would want to see in Lincoln. Lincoln is such a quaint lovely place we were impressed and will go back. We felt it was like being at home. Believe us we have stayed in lots of rented properties but this gets 10/10. Thanks alot Anitia and George you should be very proud of your property. Linda and Bert.

We have just spent three very enjoyable days at Danes Cottage. It is modern, very clean and cosy. It is in a perfect location, five minutes walk to Castle, Cathedral, pubs, restaurants and city centre. I would highly recommend this lovely cottage.

A home from home, all you could need, and a very clean, dear little cottage. the perfect spot from which to explore Lincoln and surrounding areas. We highly recommend a stay. We recently stayed at Danes Cottage for 4 nights and found the property to be clean, well equipped, warm and cosy - just what we were looking for. It is in a perfect location just off Steep Hill. We found the website to be very useful and informative regarding the cottage and surroundings. The property owners were also very friendly and obliging.

This is a fantastic modern cottage that i definately recommend. The property is beautifully kept and an ideal place to stay for families or friends. The Cathedral and restaurants are practically on the doorstep. Lincoln's nightlife and shopping area is just down the hill and the car parking nearby is cheap. A great base if you plan on venturing out to other areas too or the perfect holiday home if you want to experience the joys of Lincoln.
